Naming Ceremony
This Ceremony is for babies and children. It allows parents to make a commitment to their child before family and friends who will celebrate with them the naming of their baby or child.
Renewal of Marriage Vows
A couple may reaffirm their committment to each other in a personal and unique ceremony in the presence of their family and friends. A lovely way to celebrate a special anniversary and very popular with couples who have been married abroad.
Commitment Ceremony
Adult couples of any gender can celebrate their commitment to each other. It is intended for couples who can not marry for legal reasons or those who do not wish to marry.
None of the ceremonies mentioned have any legal status. The staff from the Dorset Registration Service do not act in their statutory capacity but as celebrants.
